RUSTIC COMFORTS

Even though Thanksgiving has come and gone, we apparently still can’t get enough food in our bellies here at the studio.  We’ve been shooting a lot of food lately, so we had to share some more photos from a recent rustic food shoot with expert food stylist, Catrine Kelty.  We love collaborating with Catrine, and everyone was extremely happy with the results of the shoot.    Check out our updated food portfolio for more final shots.

Bon Appétit!

A glimpse behind-the-scenes into what makes these shots so mouth-watering:

So many microgreens, so little time!  Catrine masterfully pulls together the perfect mix and arranges it beautifully in a rustic wooden bowl.

Michael has a moment alone with a head of lettuce sitting on set–naturally, he lets no opportunity for a beautiful shot pass him by.  Here, he uses some back lighting to showcase every fiber in this beautiful head of “hero” lettuce.

Catrine puts her finishing touches on the bowls of sweet potato soup as Michael sets up for the shot.

Jen has fun on set with a candle when she is tasked with making magical swirling steam appear over a bowl of winter sausage & vegetable soup.

JUST ADD CHIPS AND A PICKLE…

It is always a good day in the studio when we are shooting food, especially when it is something tasty like these sandwiches.

Monica from Ennis  artfully applied the mustard and arranged the arugula when styling the food and the results were so good it made us hungry. Fortunately, the sun was shining and daylight savings did not put us in the dark too early.
