CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC CAUSES EMPTY BOSTON STREETS

Our team at Indresano Studios captured the empty Boston streets in quarantine and the Stay at Home Advisory during the COVID19 global pandemic. We created an Empty Streets video to document life in Boston during this unprecedented time and made sure to take the still images below as well.

The normally bustling Congress Street in Boston remains completely empty during quarantine in 2020.

Boston’s West End, a normally traffic heavy area, is completely isolated during the middle of a weekday in Boston.

In pre-COVID times, Boston’s iconic Zakim Bridge has a steady stream of cars. The Stay at Home Advisory in Boston in March and April of 2020 shows the Zakim Bridge empty.

Fort Point in Boston looks almost abandoned during quarantine.

Charles Street by the Boston Common looks eerily empty on this April day during the Pandemic.

Government Center is normally full of life and city dwellers enjoying the area, but everyone stayed inside during the Pandemic to flatten the curve and prevent the spread of COVID19.

The Government Center T Stop by City Hall is quiet and empty.

Castle Island in South Boston is normally full of runners, bicyclists, walkers, friends and families, but during COVID times, the South Boston hot spot is completely empty.

The Seaport area in Boston is completely empty during quarantine time.

Post Office Square in Boston’s financial district is completely void of people during quarantine.

Boston’s famous Newbury Street has never looked more deserted than it did during quarantine.
