Every year, the Greater Boston area produces the Hatch Awards which shine a light on the “best branding created anywhere” and celebrates creative excellence within the field. The 61st annual Hatch Awards took place last month and we at Indresano Studios were thrilled to receive multiple awards from the establishment.
We are proud to share we won six awards at this year’s Hatch Awards. Our video profiling Noelle Lambert, a Paralympian of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and a Massachusetts native, took home the bronze bowl for the Equity category. Our Nike Mercurial Video won a bronze in the Brands Amplified category.
We are happy to reveal we also received four Merits at the New England Hatch Awards! Several of these videos were for our CGI work.
You can view each of the winners below!

Do you ever look at your pet and wish they could help you pay rent?
Indresano Studios hosted a Pet Casting Call Day earlier this month to find the paw-fect pets for a commercial job. We had the pleasure of meeting several dogs and cats that were ready to put in the work and become stars!
Here are just a few of our four-legged friends:
Coconut
Coconut is fun and energetic! He was very excited to be visiting the studio and getting his beauty shots in.
Elle
Elle was nervous for her first time in the studio. However, a couple of treats would make anyone feel better!
Morrigan
Morrigan was our youngest dog in the studio! Her energy was infectious, and she got everyone in the studio excited for the day ahead.
Timber
Timber had no problem following instructions during our shoot. He went above and beyond and deserves a round of a-paws.
Arlo
Arlo came in camera ready on casting day. He was an expert when it came to posing in front of the camera. He made sure we got all his good angles!
Kona
Kona was so happy being in the studio and felt right at home! We can’t help but smile when we see his floppy ears and shining personality.
Scrappy
Scrappy’s name fits him perfectly! Though he may be small in stature, he makes up for it with an adorable face and powerful pose.
Luca
Luca loved having the spotlight! He thought the food was delicious…even though he did have a hard time keeping it in the bowl.
These pets brought their A-game to our casting day! Our in-house team worked tirelessly to make sure these pets had a fantastic time modeling on set. We were so excited to meet each one of them!
This marks another successful casting call for Indresano Studios!

Our Boston based video production team created an emotionally strong video for Boston’s very own Mayor Walsh and his team for the recent 2020 Women for Walsh fundraiser. Our superstar production team traveled to multiple locations to interview 7 amazing women who have worked with Mayor Walsh in some capacity over the years.
—
As a Boston based video production team, we were super excited to travel to Recreo Coffee in West Roxbury for another on location interview. We filmed this interview with Miriam Morales, an impressive female business owner in Boston.
Our production team made the creative decision to shoot the interview in Recreo’s award winning garden, adding a warm and inviting aesthetic to Miriam’s interview.
—
Our next on location interview was with Cherie Jimenez, the founder of the Eva Center. Cherie’s important work focuses on supporting survivors of sexual exploitation.
—
We wrapped up Day 1 of this location interview shoot in Hyde Park, speaking with Mickey Cockrell, co-founder of Catie’s closet, another important female led non-profit organization in Boston.
Catie’s Closet, a non-profit organization that provides an in school resource of clothing and toiletries for kids living below the poverty line, has been described as “the mall”. We can totally see why.
—
Faith Jackson, a longtime supporter of Mayor Walsh and an active member of Boston’s senior community, shared her positive interactions with the Mayor in her interview in her beautiful home.
—
On day 2 of shooting, our crew traveled to Le Foyer Bakery in Mattapan to interview the owner of the bakery, Edna Etienne. Edna spoke about what it is like to be a woman in business and how Mayor Walsh has worked to help women in business to make the experience a little easier.
—
Mayor Walsh is very active in the Boys and Girls Club Dorchester, an important organization for kids and families everywhere.
Our team sat down with an impressive young female student named Fatoumata to hear more about her experience with Mayor Walsh, Boston politics, and her experience at the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester. Fatoumata confirmed that Mayor Walsh is “a really cool guy”.
Fatoumata also spoke about how she was inspired at the 2019 New England Women Leadership Awards when she saw women of color working with Mayor Walsh to run the city.
—
The final Women for Walsh video also features an interview with another successful and impressive young female named Dominique. Dominique is a graduate of the Building Pathways, a pre apprenticeship program in the construction industry.
Dominique described the benefits she’s received from completing the Building Pathway’s program, including financial stability and independence.
—
Listening to all these incredible and inspiring stories, the below quote from Mayor Walsh sums it up perfectly.

Our video production team was truly humbled by the incredible response the video received during the virtual fundraising event. Check out some of the comments below.

Our most recent on location healthcare video shoot was a big success. Our full service production studio based in Boston created an awesome video highlighting our client’s Urology department. Check out some behind the scenes action below.
Our in house producer, director, and professional camera operators made sure to capture the top of the line equipment at the hospital to show prospective residents why they should choose the client’s specific program.
—
We used our studio drone to capture stunning drone video footage of the hospital.
—
Our DJI Maverick Pro 2 also helped us capture a wide shot of the Hospital’s Emergency entrance to give prospective residents a better idea of the space.
—
Our video production team made sure to get B-Roll footage of the Urology residents in action throughout their work days. You can see two Urology residents hard at work in the below image.
—
In the final promotional video, we included strong shots of the tools of the trade to give viewers an inside look at the hospital.
—
We spent two days capturing B-Roll footage of the medical residents in action at the hospital to make a strong final video.

Fasten your seat belts, it’s time for an epic lifestyle photo shoot! For this lifestyle shoot, we brought and shot a luxury self-driving car in the studio.
—
This was not the first car we’ve shot in the studio so we knew exactly how to set up our Hasselblad camera to get the best angles.
—
It was such a treat to shoot with Lauren Fitzgerald from Maggie Inc. Lauren is naturally beautiful, but TEAM Makeup Artist Paula helped enhance her gorgeous features!
—
Lauren from Maggie Inc. was riding in style all day in this luxury vehicle.
—
Since we were shooting in the studio, we had to create our own weather. We used this fan to help show how it would feel to ride in this luxury autonomous car with the wind in your hair.
—
Our digital tech knew just the right buttons to hit to create the perfect wind storm. Talk about riding in style 😉
—
Below are some of the final images we created of the models cruising in the self-driving car!
Welcome to our newly renovated prop room! With a space the size of a small studio apartment- 18 x 24 ft (432 sq. ft)- we have plenty of room for our huge collection of props 🙂 What more could a food photographer want?
—
We’ve updated and organized our large plate selection to accommodate any food imaginable. For a studio that loves food photography as much as we do, this prop room is a dream come true.
—
Ice cream bowl? Check. Soup bowl? Check. Coin bowl? Check. You name it, we’ve got the right bowl for you. It’s truly an oasis for a food photographer :p
—
We created an efficient system to arrange our platters, dishes, vases, mason jars, glasses, silveware, and so much more. Clients can see and access what we have available by simply visiting the prop room- in person or digitally!
—
Color coded and perfectly folded fabrics make us happy 🙂 Our newly updated system lets clients find what they need quickly and effortlessly. We’ve digitally archived all of our props so clients can pick exactly what they want before even coming to the studio!
—
Beautiful china such as these deserves a nice place to call home and we are happy to have built it.
—
With all these dishes, we might need to have a dinner party soon :p
We also have wooden surfaces, metal surfaces, all kinds of background options, and many more props not seen here. With all these props, we can create any set imaginable!
If you have any questions about what we have in stock, please give us a call and we’d be happy to send over some images of our extended collection.
We recently worked on a new campaign of images and GIFs, and we knew immediately we were in for an exciting time at the studio. With two sets for a photo and video shoot, seven models and stylists, it was a packed house full of fun! Check out more below.
—
We started the morning off right with the energetic Courtland. With so many different models coming in overlapping times throughout the day, it was great to start the day on a high note.
—
When having both a photography and video shoot in a day, you need to streamline everything as much as possible. We worked seamlessly with our team to get both a photography and green screen video set in side by side.
—
Hair and makeup artist Alexandra from TEAM helped make sure Gabi, the model, was looking her best on both sets!
—
Hiding behind the racks, you can see a glimpse our wardrobe/prop stylist Coleen, also from TEAM, hard at work. She shopped for all seven models and the different props needed for the shoot- talk about shopping ’til you drop!
—
The high energy start to the shoot continued throughout the entire day . Just look at this excitement! It’s safe to say we had a totally awesome day with Total Wireless!
We recently had the opportunity to work with Timberland on their new line of clothing and shoes for their “1 Piece, 3 Ways” microsite. With an incredibly talented team of wardrobe stylists and hair & makeup artists, and direction from a truly creative team at Timberland, we found countless ways to show off these great new products. Who doesn’t love a piece of clothing or footwear you can get 3+ completely different looks out of?
Here are our photos, as featured on Timberland‘s website (then keep scrolling down for some behind-the-scenes!):

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from the multi-day shoot:

Wardrobe stylists choose the perfect combination of clothing pieces to accentuate each Timberland product.

Sly Anthony tries to sneak in a shot of Michael between takes — little did he know Michael was actually taking a photo of him!
–
As Michael prepares for the next shot, the client is able to view images in real time on our double computer screen and also tethered to the big screen. No matter where you are in the studio, you’re never far from viewing the images.
–
Clients are able to sit back and relax as they’re working hard in the comforts of the client area (complete with massage chair), watching their images come in on the big screen as the shoot goes smoothly in the shooting area.
It is hard to believe it has been 20 years since I opened my first studio! It feels like yesterday that I welcomed my first client at 355 Congress St., in the late spring of 1992. I have enjoyed every day and every shoot; it has never felt like work to me.
I would like to thank each and every client I have had the privilege to work with over the last 20 years. It is largely due to their loyalty and innovative ideas that the last 20 years in business have been so rewarding. I’m not in this alone; my staff of professionals makes it possible for me to focus on what I love most: capturing the perfect image. It goes without saying that without the support of my family and friends, I would not have achieved this level of success.
Although many things have changed in the photography industry since I snapped my first photo with a Pentax K1000, the way I think about my clients has remained consistent. From day one, my philosophy has been to bring my clients’ vision to life within the comforts of my studio.

Former producer, Heather, and I brainstorm before a shoot.

My first client Computervision, Inc., sent me around the globe for 5 weeks in 1993. I traveled with two assistants to South Korea, Italy, Germany, France, Japan (pictured) and Canada photographing CEO’s and factories for companies such as Hyundai, Siemens, Audi, and Fiat, to name a few. That’s me on the far right, with assistant Jeff to the left of me.

33 A Street After
I wanted a place where I could provide a comfortable space with all of the amenities. Luckily, I found a building that was a diamond in the rough at 33 A Street right in South Boston. This has been my home away from home since 1998 and continues to be today.
–
The patio area at 33 A Street became an outdoor shower for models, Sylvia and Mark, during a shoot for Crabtree & Evelyn. Assistants Aldo (far left) and Joe (right) had a fun time too!
(From left) Goji, Jeff, Mark, myself, and Al behind-the-scenes at a baseball stadium for a Papa Gino’s shoot.

Hanging out with Jay Leno after I shot his portrait in Burbank, California. I found out that our families descended from the same town: Avellino, Italy!
–
Below are some of my favorite portraits and personalities from over the past 20 years. It’s been quite a ride – thanks again to everyone who has made it such a memorable adventure!
–
And here are just some of the thousands of products I’ve had so much fun shooting over the years.
I’m very excited to see what the next 20 years hold for the future of the studio. If they are anything like the past 20, I can’t wait to get this party started.
