BOSTON NONPROFIT SPOKE VIDEO

Indresano Studios loved working with the people of SPOKE. Located in the Greater Boston area, “MW Productions/SPOKE activates the transformative power of art to heal divisions, strengthen community, and drive social progress.” SPOKE uses various forms of art as a way for young people to better understand themselves as well as increase their understanding of the world around them.

SPOKE founder and director Michael Dowling takes us through the organization’s legacy with the help of the board of directors and those who make SPOKE possible.

Learn more about Michael and SPOKE’s mission by watching our video below.

Previously known as Medicine Wheel, SPOKE was created to transform the lives of Boston’s youth. Their new building on Old Colony will give the people of Boston a safe space to create and heal together through all forms of art including visual media, dance, and poetry performances. SPOKE encourages youth to use art as a means of expression and to help strengthen ties within their community.

Our in-house team worked hard to create a thought-provoking video that highlighted the non-profit. We were there every step of the way through creating storyboards, conducting interviews, shooting, editing, color correction and sound design.

Meet the people who help keep SPOKE running.

NOELLE LAMBERT RESILIENCE VIDEO_BEHIND THE SCENES

The Resilience video our video production team created to help tell Noelle Lambert’s story took a lot of pre-production planning, camera operating skills, talented direction and hard work. Take a look at some of the behind the scenes action below to get a better idea of what goes into creating a compelling video.

Noelle Lambert, Team USA Paralympic Runner, prepared for the on location video shoot by getting into her training mindset.

One of our many talented camera operators also got into the spirit of working out and used an exercise ball to capture the best angles for this video shoot.

Paralympic athlete Noelle Lambert stands strong, tall and proud for the camera. Noelle is the epitome of strength, resilience and courage.

Our video production team used creative lighting to give the final resilience video a no nonsense gritty feeling.

Noelle impressed our whole video production crew with not only her mental strength, but her notable physical strength as well.

We also captured B-Roll footage of Noelle in her element on the track with her running prosthetic. Noelle started her own organization called the Born to Run Foundation, which provides young amputees with specialized prosthetics that enable them to live out their athletic dreams. She personally understands the importance of a good running prosthetic and gives back as much as she can.

We also made sure to schedule an on location interview with Noelle’s running coach to shed more light on Noelle’s training process.

Noelle inspires all of us to realize “you can do anything you put your mind to”. She keeps her focus on her goals and trains tirelessly to reach them. Noelle will be competing in the Tokyo 2021 Paralympic Games representing Team USA in track. The future looks bright for Noelle Lambert.

BOSTON POLITICS FUNDRAISER VIDEO

Our Boston based video production team created an emotionally strong video for Boston’s very own Mayor Walsh and his team for the recent 2020 Women for Walsh fundraiser. Our superstar production team traveled to multiple locations to interview 7 amazing women who have worked with Mayor Walsh in some capacity over the years.

As a Boston based video production team, we were super excited to travel to Recreo Coffee in West Roxbury for another on location interview. We filmed this interview with Miriam Morales, an impressive female business owner in Boston.

Our production team made the creative decision to shoot the interview in Recreo’s award winning garden, adding a warm and inviting aesthetic to Miriam’s interview.

Our next on location interview was with Cherie Jimenez, the founder of the Eva Center. Cherie’s important work focuses on supporting survivors of sexual exploitation.

We wrapped up Day 1 of this location interview shoot in Hyde Park, speaking with Mickey Cockrell, co-founder of Catie’s closet, another important female led non-profit organization in Boston.

Catie’s Closet, a non-profit organization that provides an in school resource of clothing and toiletries for kids living below the poverty line, has been described as “the mall”. We can totally see why.

Faith Jackson, a longtime supporter of Mayor Walsh and an active member of Boston’s senior community, shared her positive interactions with the Mayor in her interview in her beautiful home.

On day 2 of shooting, our crew traveled to Le Foyer Bakery in Mattapan to interview the owner of the bakery, Edna Etienne. Edna spoke about what it is like to be a woman in business and how Mayor Walsh has worked to help women in business to make the experience a little easier.

Mayor Walsh is very active in the Boys and Girls Club Dorchester, an important organization for kids and families everywhere.

Our team sat down with an impressive young female student named Fatoumata to hear more about her experience with Mayor Walsh, Boston politics, and her experience at the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester. Fatoumata confirmed that Mayor Walsh is “a really cool guy”.

Fatoumata also spoke about how she was inspired at the 2019 New England Women Leadership Awards when she saw women of color working with Mayor Walsh to run the city.

The final Women for Walsh video also features an interview with another successful and impressive young female named Dominique. Dominique is a graduate of the Building Pathways, a pre apprenticeship program in the construction industry.

Dominique described the benefits she’s received from completing the Building Pathway’s program, including financial stability and independence.

Listening to all these incredible and inspiring stories, the below quote from Mayor Walsh sums it up perfectly.

You can view the final Women for Walsh video below.

Our video production team was truly humbled by the incredible response the video received during the virtual fundraising event. Check out some of the comments below.

VIDEO PRODUCTION ON THE ROAD IN SAN DIEGO

Recently we went to San Diego for a video production project. It was a lot of early mornings and long days, but we live by the philosophy of work hard, play hard.

Our Production Coordinator sits with some of our equipment we had to bring for the shoot. No room for clothes when back up batteries are more important!

When we finally arrived in San Diego, we had a few moments to enjoy the warm weather and beautiful scenery before heading off to work!

Setting up all the cameras and lights took a while, but luckily the sunshine was cooperating with our team.

We brought in some local talent to conduct the interview, including a professional interviewer as well as some local grips. You can never have enough footage to help make a video look perfect!

After a hard day’s work, in the evening our crew found some time to enjoy the sunset along the waterfront.

The work might have been tough and the hours long, but at the end of the trip Our team were all smiles at a job well done!
