Recently the team took on an unusual challenge of photographing a model of the new Wynn Resorts to be built in Everett, MA. The crew packed up their bags and went on location to Wynn offices to shoot the 6’ x 8’, 1500lb model of the soon-to-be casino. Our intern, Sarah, wrote a blog of the experience:
Jayna, Odi, Michael and I packed up the van early Wednesday morning and hopped on the road to head to Wynn offices in Medford. When we arrived and unpacked we were in awe at both of the models that were created for the planning of the casino. Our client informed us that the model was 1500 pounds and was delivered from Las Vegas and reassembled here in their Boston office.
We were able to move the model to anywhere in the room(luckily it was on wheels!), which really helped us get our backdrop and lighting just right. It was so nerve-racking to move the giant replica! After shooting a from multiple possible angles we packed up the car and headed home after a fun, but exhausting, shoot. Check out some images below!
We were definitely excited to have an on location shoot at the Wynn Boston Harbor offices!

I admired the model and was amazed it was almost the same height as me!

No small detail went unnoticed with this model!

The use of warming gels on the lights help capture the bronze color of the building.

A second model previewed the interior of the casino, showing a colorful floral design for the lobby. Included is also a beautiful ferris wheel and the Popeye statue created by famous artist Jeffery Koons, whose work is featured in several casinos in Las Vegas.

Below are two of our final images. We can’t wait to see the real life Wynn Casino, coming soon
